day 23 - 25 Days of wellness

Hi there! I’ve seen a couple of people I follow do Advent calendars for various things - 1000 Hours Outside has one for outdoor family activities, and Nutritious Movement has one for movement to create a “butt for the holidays” haha. So good.

So here we go - I’m going to drop a little post each day on a little Wellness tidbit for you to consider. Enjoy!

DAY 23 - exercise

Yay for Exercise! I mean, who doesn’t love endorphins?

Exercise is so critically important for our whole-body, whole-self wellness! Moving our bodies, in whatever way feels comfortable, safe, and enjoyable, every day, helps oxygenate every cell, massage our organs, keep our bowels moving, give us time to process our thoughts and feelings, even socialize!

If you hate running, don’t. If you hate dancing, don’t. But I KNOW you can find at least one form of movement that is enjoyable for you and will help you on your way towards better health. In fact, if you have chronic fatigue or thyroid issues, running could be one of the worst things that you could do. But doing some kind of weight-bearing exercise, stretching, and gentle walking — even chair yoga — can only benefit you.

It is important to start any new exercise with the supervision of somebody who knows your history and concerns and can teach you the right way to do the exercise and not get an injury.

With the training I have in hands-free Alexander Technique through Mio Morales’ Primal Alexander and Jennifer Roig-Francoli The Art of Freedom methods, I can coach you in how to approach a new movement with your mind engaged and your nervous system balanced. Just send me a DM to schedule a consult!

See you on Day 24!
